Permission to Party, an exhibition exploring the boundaries of self-expression and professionalism curated by juniors studying in CIA's visual arts programs, opens from 6 to 9pm Friday, April 17 on the second floor of the Hildebrandt Building (3619 Walton Ave., Cleveland).
The exhibition remains on view through Monday, April 27 by appointment.
Permission to Party is the capstone exhibition from CIA's the Role of the Artist as Producer course taught by Tony Ingrisano and Zoe Brester-Pennings. Students majoring in Drawing, Painting, Printmaking and Sculpture + Expanded Media curate and develop a group exhibition that embodies the work within an artist's professional practice. Students collaboratively execute this project while practicing professionalism and gaining knowledge useful to working artists. The experience also exposes the students and their work to Cleveland’s arts community.
