CAMPUS HOUSING
You’ll love living close to your studios, labs, classrooms, and makerspaces.
No Place Like Home
The first years of college present a lot of changes. Living on campus helps you find your people and collaborate with classmates. Not to brag but you'll also live in some of the best residence halls at CIA. Fully updated and modern, they allow you to focus on making and creating.
Residence Halls
CIA’s first year residence hall has everything you need! The rooms are spacious and have kitchenettes and studio spaces. You don’t share a bathroom with other students on your floor like other residence halls you may have seen, each pair of roommates has their own in-suite bathroom.
Beyond the suite spaces, there is wifi and hardwired internet to support the most serious gamer (or future game designer), a cardio-machine area, and lounges to hang out with your friends!
Right across the parking lot of the school is the upper-class student residence, Euclid 117. These apartments are everything you and your roommates need after a long day in class. Not only are the apartments HUGE, there is a fitness center, study lounges, and places for you to unwind and hang out with your friends. Do you like to “chef it up”? Kitchens are equipped to handle any iron chef (including a dishwasher to help you clean up).
Dining
Meal plans are required if you are a first-year student living on campus. If you live off-campus or are an upper-class resident, plans are optional.
Case Cash is like a pre-loaded debit card and can be used at retail dining locations and retail shops in the University Circle area. In addition, it can be used like cash at the CWRU bookstore.
Around the clock self-service food, drink and snack options are available on campus. This self-service station takes digital payments and Case Cash.
Food options include sandwiches, wraps, salads, snacks and more!
Everyone has quirks and things that get on our nerves. You will fill out a roommate matching form during the early summer before you arrive on campus. This helps us match you with roommates who have similar living preferences. No matter if you are messy or neat, an early riser or night owl, we will find that person for you. You find out your room and roommate assignments in mid-July so you can communicate with them about who is bringing what.
Housing Policy
You must live on campus if you are a first or second-year student who is unmarried, under the age of 21, and whose home is outside of the county CIA is in (Cuyahoga County). However, CIA invites all students, regardless of residence, to have that on-campus experience!
