Summer Reading

CIA's Summer Reading Program is designed to unite the first-year class through a common experience.

We are delighted to announce Ctrl+S as CIA’s 2025 Summer Reading.

Ctrl+S is a student-led publication produced by CIA students. It includes writing and artwork by students from across majors. Its mission is to amplify individual creative expression and inclusively represent student work and experiences.

We look forward to the conversations and artwork that Ctrl+S will inspire this fall at CIA.

2025 Mail Art Project

At CIA, we know that art inspires more art. And art helps make community.

Choose a piece of writing or artwork from Ctrl+S. Make a postcard that takes inspiration from it—while representing your own interests. You could also combine inspiration from multiple pieces. How can you respond creatively to the work in Ctrl+S? Be creative. You can use the space however you like—for a comic, a visual representation, or anything else.

We'll mail you postcards and stamps to work with. Return your postcards by mail to CIA. They will become part of an exhibition that features work by you and other incoming students.

We also encourage you to share your postcard designs at #CIAreading25.
