I Pursue My Passion
Your Next Steps
If you didn’t get your ID photo taken at the April 5 Accepted Student Preview Day, submit your ID photo now.
Photos are due by June 13.
stART is CIA’s online pre-orientation program, where you’ll complete paperwork and take your first steps toward joining the CIA community.
You’ll receive a postcard by mail, and an email when stART opens in early June.
These on-campus events are designed to provide you in-person time with faculty, your academic advisors, and your classmates. Dedicated time with Financial Aid and Student Accounts will also be available.
Register today for one of our two summer Registration Days:
Virtual events will be available later in the summer for those who are unable to attend in-person. More details to come.
If you completed the FAFSA, you should have received a Financial Aid Offer for the 2025-26 school year from our Financial Aid office.
The Aid Offer will show you what aid you are eligible for, based on the FAFSA. It will show the sources and amounts of aid that you are eligible to receive. It will also let you know if there are any documents that you need to complete to process your aid.
You will set up your financial aid Net Partner account to view and accept or decline your aid (federal loan) and view the status of your financial aid documents.
Fall billing statements will be available on myCIA (our online portal for grades, billing, etc) on June 9.
July 15 is the deadline to take care of your student account statement balance so you are “cleared for enrollment” for the Fall semester.
More information on how to cover your balance can be found online, or by contacting Student Accounts by email or 216.421.7318.
Make sure your high school and college transcripts are forwarded to CIA so that we can review for transfer credits, etc.
We are delighted to announce Ctrl+S as CIA’s 2025 Summer Reading.
If you attended the May 5 Accepted Student Preview Day, you would have received a copy of Ctrl-+S, CIA’s 2025 Summer Reading. If you weren’t there, you’ll receive a copy in the mail.
A component of our Summer Reading is a postcard exhibition, where we ask you to mail in postcards that respond to the reading. More details are available online.
If you plan to live on campus, move-in day is Wednesday, August 20.
Through stART, you’ll complete a Roommate Matching form, and have time to connect with your roommates.
You’ll also be sent details about scheduling a move-in time.
Orientation takes place in August just before classes begin. Orientation will help you adjust to college life and embark on the road to a profession in art and design.
2025 Orientation is Thursday through Saturday, August 21 to 23.
Show off your CIA spirit! Wearing CIA gear is a great way to let people know where you are going to school.
Merchandise is available in the Office of Admissions (216.421.7418) and through our online store.
