Melanie Walker is an accomplished finance leader with more than two decades of experience in higher education, health care and large nonprofit systems. She specializes in organizational performance improvement, financial reporting, and strategy.
Melanie most recently served as the Associate Dean of Finance and Administration at Case Western Reserve University School of Law where she led financial reporting, implemented shared services models and developed data-driven dashboards. Her earlier career includes financial leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente and University Hospitals where she focused on long-term financial sustainability across multi-billion-dollar organizations.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Howard University, an Executive MBA from Cleveland State University and maintains active CPA licensure. She is known for her collaborative leadership style and commitment to support mission-driven work.
Melanie is the mother of two adult daughters and grandmother of two. She remains deeply engaged in mentorship, community services and initiatives that advance equity and educational opportunity.
