BFA, Painting & Drawing
Jeff Yost joined the Cleveland Institute of Art as an Admissions Counselor in 2024. He earned his BFA in Painting and Drawing and brings experience as a painting and drawing instructor and former high school art teacher to his work with prospective students.
Working with students and families throughout the Midwest, he helps demystify the admissions process and what it means to pursue an art and design education. His background as an educator, along with his longstanding studio practice as a painter, shapes a thoughtful and encouraging approach to portfolio conversations.
He is especially interested in helping students recognize the strengths in their work, find the right college fit, and connect their interests, skills, and questions to a meaningful path through art school and beyond.
