I’d encourage students to explore as many new mediums and techniques as they can, and to be open minded to learning about artistic jobs you haven’t heard of before. Even if you think you have a set idea of your future career, you’ll do yourself many more favors by keeping open to different opportunities. You never know if one elective class you take will change your idea of future.
