Davon Brantley ('18 Drawing)
Brantley is a Cleveland-based artist, born and raised in the city. He graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2018. Immediately after earning his undergrad degree, Davon began exhibiting and curating at venues such as BAYarts, the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, CAN Triennial, the Morgan Conservatory, the Indianapolis Arts Center, the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve, the Museum of Creative Human Art, and many more.
Brantley has collaborated with community organizations in Cleveland, including the Museum of Creative Human Art and Graffiti HeArt. He has also deepened his exploration of printmaking through DeepDive Art Projects and the Cleveland Institute of Art. In addition to participating in mural projects, he advocates for expanding access to the arts for young artists through his work in admissions counseling at CIA Through these efforts, Brantley furthers his mission to make the arts a vital part of our ecosystem—where we can discuss who we are and where we come from no matter our background.
