Evan MarLett is the Graduate Hall Director at the Cleveland Institute of Art, where he oversees the Uptown Residence Hall and supervises a team of five Resident Assistants. He is also currently pursuing his master's degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs at Kent State University.
Before his time at CIA, Evan worked across multiple areas of student support and academic affairs. At San Francisco State University, he served as a Transfer Peer Mentor and as a Teaching Assistant, providing guidance to transfer students and supporting faculty in the Psychology Department. He also worked as an Articulation Assistant at California State University, Chico, where he contributed to the critical work of transfer credit evaluation and curriculum alignment across institutions.
As a proud first-generation college graduate, Evan is deeply passionate about promoting equity, access, and representation within higher education. His academic and professional path has been shaped by a strong commitment to student success, particularly for historically underserved and underrepresented student populations. Evan is driven by the belief that education can and should be a transformative experience for all students.
