Conversations in Vermont (1971): Frank’s first autobiographical film, telling the story of a father’s relationship with his two teenage children, and his fragile attempts to communicate with them by means of a shared story. Life Dances On… (1980): Frank’s most personal and emotional work dealing with his mourning of the loss of two people very close to him with filmed portraits of others who share his life.
