CLEVELAND—The Cleveland Institute of Art proudly presents the 2026 Faculty Exhibition and 2026 Studio Operations Exhibition, two annual shows that offer the public an opportunity to view new, original and innovative works by the College's esteemed art and design faculty and talented Studio Operations staff. Across both exhibitions, viewers will get a glimpse into the professional practices of 65 of Northeast Ohio's leading artists and designers.
The Faculty Exhibition, on view in Reinberger Gallery, is a tradition that spans more than 100 years and serves as a celebration of art, design and their makers. The Studio Operations Exhibition, on view in the Ann and Norman Roulet Student + Alumni Gallery, highlights the ingenuity and creativity those who support students and faculty apply to their own work.
"It's imperative that communities support creative people—those who make, teach and inspire—especially those who have dedicated their lives to education and to nurturing the next generation of artists and designers," says Nikki Woods, CIA's Director of Exhibitions + Galleries. "The impact that CIA's community of creative thinkers has is profound but sometimes overlooked. The College has long served as a creative incubator, and these two exhibitions reflect the critical, boundary-pushing ideas that have emerged from and flourished within CIA's classrooms and studios for the past 144 years."
A public opening reception for both the 2026 Faculty Exhibition and 2026 Studio Operations Exhibition will be held from 6 to 8pm Thursday, September 3 in CIA's John and Sally Schulze North Lobby. Remarks will begin at 6pm.
The exhibitions will both remain on view through Sunday, October 11. They are free and open to the public. For gallery hours, visit cia.edu/reinberger.

The Cleveland Institute of Art is a private, nonprofit college of art and design that has been the training ground for countless students who have gone on to make important contributions to the fields of creativity and innovation since it opened in 1882 as the Western Reserve School of Design for Women. Its students have designed internationally recognized products, their artwork has been exhibited in major museums and private collections around the world, and their entertainment media has been enjoyed by audiences and game players for generations. It enrolls about 550 students nationally and internationally and has a faculty of about 100 full-time and adjunct members, all of whom are practicing artists, designers and scholars.
