The Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) announced that it named a chair-elect to its board of directors and three new board members who assumed their roles on Sept. 17.
August Fluker, who currently serves as principal and managing member at Fluker Consulting LLC., a Cleveland-based construction consultant, has been selected as chair-elect of CIA. CIA's board will vote on the chair position in June 2026 and, if elected, Fluker will serve a three year term starting July 1. Fluker could succeed Cynthia Prior Gascoigne, whose term concludes this upcoming summer, the school said in a news release.
In tandem with Fluker’s appointment, the three new members of the board of directors are Chris Hart, director of digital experience for the Cleveland Guardians; Jennifer van Dijk, president of the Boston Legacy Football Club; and Steve Haynes, president, CEO and co-founder of Glengary Brain Health Inc.
