Teresa Underwood is an experienced human resources and administrative leader with more than a decade of service in higher education. Before joining the Cleveland Institute of Art, she held progressive roles at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, overseeing HR operations, faculty affairs, facilities management, and wide‑ranging administrative projects. Her earlier career includes administrative roles at Harvard University, Young Audiences of Massachusetts, Florida State University, and DePauw University.
Teresa is known for strengthening organizational processes, supporting employee engagement, and leading collaborative, people‑centered HR practices. She holds a Bachelor of Music from DePauw University and has completed multiple leadership development programs at Case Western Reserve University.
Outside of work, Teresa is the mother of two college‑age children and an active supporter of the arts—especially Broadway musicals. She also continues her love of music by teaching early‑childhood music classes for young children and their families on weekends.
