Scott Goss is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores various mediums including public art, sculpture, interactive installations, and glass. Scott has completed numerous public art projects and commissions, including series of sculptural benches for the city of Vermilion, OH, a series of self-powered oversized pinwheel sculptures for Peekskill, NY, an oversized bird’s nest for the Whitlock Elementary School in Washington D.C., an illuminated sculpture for Lakewood, OH’s Fire Station #2, interactive illuminated sculpture for Worthington Yards Apartments in downtown Cleveland, a viewing platform for the Cleveland Conventions Bureau, and a glass panel project for Summa Hospital in Akron, OH.
He received his BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art and his MFA from Kent State University. His work has been exhibited nationally and is included in numerous collections across the country, including the Arkansas Fine Arts Museum (Little Rock, AR), the Cleveland Museum of Art (Cleveland, OH), the Crocker Art Museum (Sacramento, CA), the Enamel Arts Foundation (Los Angeles, CA), the Dalad Art Collection (Cleveland, OH), and the Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, OH). His work and research have additionally been supported through grants by the Satellite Fund, the Urgent Art Fund, the Ohio Arts Council, the Harpo Foundation and Kent State University. Currently Scott is an Associate Professor and the Acting Division Chair in CO/RE at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
