Make unforgettable memories outside the classroom

You’ll find a welcoming, inclusive community that celebrates our differences and encourages individuality and mutual respect.

Campus Trick-Or-Treating

It’s a bloody good time celebrating the spookiest season on campus! Get creative with your costume and trick-or-treat across the building with your friends.

Student Holiday Show + Sale

Sell your work at the annual Student Holiday Sale. Many of your peers sell all kinds of works in various mediums across two days all over campus.

Student Independent Exhibition

The Student Independent Exhibition (SIE) is an honored tradition. The exhibition showcases student work from all areas—from visual arts and craft to digital art and design—all selected by jurors chosen by the student committee.

Spring Show

A week-long celebration of art and design. This annual exhibition unveils the work across all of our programs.

Pink Pig: End of Year Celebration

Celebrate the end of year with food, games, inflatables and prizes! It remains a mystery how this event got its name. Maybe the farm it had been held at in the 1960s or an old tradition of a pig roast.

The MOSAIC Pre-Orientation group is wearing their shirts and posing together as a group at the end of their week.

MOSAIC Pre-Orientation

MOSAIC (Multicultural Orientation Series for Artists In College) was created in 2022. The program is open to all incoming first-year students and strives to support those who may benefit from a more personalized transition into college. It is a year-long program that offers students a chance to get their academic career off to a strong start. They are introduced to academic and support resources, given tours of campus and University Circle and matched with a peer mentor who will support them throughout their first year.

Community Service

There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer and support the community. The Community Outreach Team has monthly opportunities like the American Heart Association Heart Walk. The Alternative Spring Break trip is the perfect way to immerse yourself in community service for a full week in New Orleans.

Student Experience

I love the positive environment around campus when it comes to CIA. The people here make me feel welcomed as an out of state student. I can't think of a better place to have gone to get my education in the arts!
