Writing + Learning Center

The Writing + Learning Center is a free resource for all CIA students. Our student and faculty team offer individualized support in response to each student's goal, whether academic, creative, or professional.

Whether you're working on an assignment or independent project, planning out your time, studying for a class, or otherwise, we offer generative questions, feedback, and support to further your creative process, critical thinking, and learning.

The center provides:

  • Responsive feedback for students working on coursework, as well as professional and creative projects
  • Instructional support for degree-program courses
  • Guidance on skills such as time management and studying
  • Three quiet rooms, available to all students

Students can drop by Room 103 during open hours or make a appointment in advance. See my.cia.edu/writingcenter to book a meeting. To set up a standing meeting or course-specific tutoring, students can write to Alyssa Perry at arperry@cia.edu.

The center is staffed by experienced peer consultants chosen for their collaborative skills. The center is administered by Alyssa Perry, Writing + Learning Center Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the Liberal Arts Department.
