Equipment Checkout
The Cleveland Institute of Art Equipment Checkout is the campus resource where students and faculty can borrow technology from laptops to cameras.
The Checkout has thousands of items, all of which are available to students, faculty, and staff to use, free of charge. It has HD digital projectors for presentations, video game consoles and games, DSLR cameras and lighting kits, plus much, much more. It also offers laptops, drawing tablets and digital pens, and numerous techology resources.
Whether you need something small, such as an HDMI cable or something large like a 4K Blackmagic Production camera, check out the Checkout! It’s an invaluable resource at CIA.
Equipment can be reserved online; your myCIA login credentials are required.

Checkout hours
Academic Year hours:
Monday-Thursday: 8am–10pm
Friday: 8am–7pm
Saturday: noon–2pm (walk-up only)
Summer hours
Monday-Friday: 8am–pm

Discipline-specific technology is managed by individual majors. A list of recommended hardware, based on major, can be viewed online. Hardware requirements are reviewed each spring.
