You’ve already taken care of business this summer with StART online—so now it’s time for the fun part! Fall Orientation is a mandatory two-day program that takes place in August before classes begin. Orientation will help you adjust to college life and embark on the road to a profession in art and design. Orientation runs from the morning of Thursday, August 22 through Friday, August 23 in the evening. There are some additional elective programs that will allow students to explore Cleveland on Saturday as well. All new students to CIA, including transfer students and non-traditional students, are encouraged to attend all parts of orientation.
During orientation, you will have the opportunity to:
While there is no formal program for parents, we always welcome questions from family. During move in, we ask parents to join CIA administrators to join us for a "break" to enjoy light refreshments and conversation with others at CIA. There will be a presentation from our Dean Of Student, Nancy Neville at 10:00am and 2:00pm. Please contact Ashely King at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
For more information, contact the Office of Student Life + Housing at 216.421.7429 or by email at email@example.com.
The check-in process for fall new student orientation will begin on Thursday with breakfast. Students who will be commuting to campus may park in the student parking lot (Lot 73) located behind the George Gund Building (signs will guide you). More details regarding the schedule to come.
