Indie Film Produced by CIA Prof Premieres in NYC

Cleveland Institute of Art Professor and internationally acclaimed video artist Kasumi is one of the producers of an independent feature film premiering Thursday in New York City.

Cleveland Institute of Art Professor and internationally acclaimed video artist Kasumi is one of the producers of an independent feature film premiering Thursday in New York City.

A special sneak preview of Kitao Sakurai’s indie film Aardvark will be presented on July 15, 2010 by three NYC organizations committed to supporting independent cinema: Rooftop Films, indieWIRE and SnagFilms. Kasumi is internationally celebrated as one the leading innovators of a new art form synthesizing film, sound, and video in live performance. She has won global acclaim for her expressive and compelling compositions in venues worldwide: from Lincoln Center with The New York Philharmonic to collaborations with Grandmaster Flash and DJ Spooky.
