New York-based painter and CIA alumnus Ben Grasso ’03 will open a solo show on May 6 in Milan’s Jerome Zodo Contemporary gallery. Ben Grasso: New Territory will run until May 19.
Showcasing Grasso’s latest work, the exhibition includes paintings, drawings, and a large-scale site-specific installation that will suspend from the ceiling of the Milanese gallery. “The artist does not limit his creative research to the pictorial tradition,” says the gallery statement, “but here extends a relationship into sculpture and architecture.”
Born in 1979 in Cleveland, Grasso obtained a BFA in Painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art. He continued his studies with an MFA at the Hunter College in New York City, where he now lives and works.
