CLEVELAND—Cleveland Institute of Art students took home nearly $15,000 in awards and prizes as the 75th Student Independent Exhibition opened February 12 in Reinberger Gallery.

More than 60 artists were juried into the show, which was organized by a committee of students. The exhibition runs through March 12 at the Cleveland Institute of Art, 11610 Euclid Ave., Cleveland. It's also available to view online at sie75.com.

Derek Walker won SIE 75's top award, the CIA Board of Directors Grand Prize, as well as The Gwen Cooper ’63 Award, for his painting, "Remain Myself." The acrylic-on-wood piece measures 39 inches by 72 inches.
