Add event to my calendar

Community: All Access will feature work by nine soon-to-be graduates of CIA’s Painting and Sculpture + Expanded Media programs and aims to display the wide breadth of work from emerging visual artists.

"Community" references both the community of students coming together for this show as well as the fact that it will be exhibited in a community park setting, where the artists hope to engage a broader audience. Community in the classroom is contained when compared to being a professional artist out in the world, and this exhibition stands as these artists' entry into that new sphere.

Community: All Access will open from 6 to 8pm Friday, May 19 at the Feinberg Art Gallery at Cain Park (14591 Superior Road, Cleveland Heights). It will remain on view through Saturday, July 22.

The exhibition will feature the most current and thought-provoking work from the following members of CIA's Class of 2023: Bentley, Nicole Carroll, Elena Flores, Frank Hadzima, Jordi Rowe, Thomas Smith, Alex Vlasov, Caro Volny and Alexa Wehrman.

Community: All Access is curated by Michelle Barnicky Stachnik, Feinberg Gallery curator, as well as assistant curators Frank Hadzima and Jordi Rowe. Hadzima is a visual artist interested in making humorous figure paintings through the lens of the internet. Rowe is an abstract painter interested in capturing ethereal moments of natural light.
