How Are You Doing? Is an exhibition that seeks to honor the work of the 2020 graduates, whose culminating physical exhibition was displaced due to the COVID-19 health crisis. This show does not intend to serve as a replacement BFA exhibition, but instead function as an opportunity to exhibit recent works by these artists that best represent their respective practices. This can include work that was produced for their BFA thesis defense, or work made in the months after graduation, when the pressures to produce work to satisfy academic requirements have ended. After the threat of COVID-19 has diminished and operations have returned to relative normalcy, we will not have forgotten the sacrifices that many students had to make in the wake of this global catastrophe. It is our intention that this exhibition be an opportunity for career momentum, that it serve as an exciting goal-post for 2020 graduates to work towards post-grad at a time of amplified insecurity. We aim to reconnect those who were denied the ability to exhibit and celebrate with their peers (who are most often an artist’s most treasured professional network) in this re-imagined way of finalizing their undergraduate experience.
