Head to the Flats this weekend and check out Reclaim the River, an interactive model for innovative urban design aimed at improving fish habitats and water quality in the Cuyahoga River.

Doug Paige, CIA industrial design professor, and Lukas Kronawitter, a Berlin-based architect and urban planner, will be on hand to unveil work they've done as part of a Creative Fusion collaboration. Meet the designers, see a chalk "river" created by CIA artists, and learn how sustainable design can improve the health of our river.

The exhibition, part of Cuyahoga50, will be unveiled 3–5pm Friday, June 21 at Rivergate Park (next to Merwin's Wharf), 1785 Merwin Avenue, Cleveland. It will also be on view 10am to 4pm Saturday, June 22 and noon to 4pm Sunday, June 23.

Reclaim the River is part of the Cleveland Foundation’s Creative Fusion: Waterways to Waterways Edition, marking the 50th anniversary of the Cuyahoga River fire on June 22, 1969, and the celebration of progress in river conservation efforts launched as a result.

This event is free and open to the public.
