Molly Fitzpatrick graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2005 and then began working in one of the few remaining woven textile mills in the USA as a textile designer for the next five years.
Equipped with the practical knowledge obtained at the mill, as well as her fine arts background, she began her textile design consultancy in 2010. She then started Dittohouse, a product of home textiles, in 2015.
Since then, she has continued to pursue sustainable design and textile work, inspired by pop cultures' use of emoji language and the effective communication that an arrangement of simple shapes can convey. Her products are manufactured ethically and thoughtfully, creating as little waste as possible, while using sustainable materials like wool felt and recycled cotton.
She currently licenses her textile designs to CB2, consults on textile designs for manufacturers, and runs the Dittohouse brand, which has been featured in Dwell magazine's Editors best 2015 issue, Interior Design Magazine, Architectural Digest Mexico, and the Design Milk blog among others.
