KING KONG film still

A giant ape is captured on a South Pacific island and brought to New York City, where he is put on display—before escaping and wreaking havoc. This famous adventure movie, with awesome special effects and stop-motion animation by Willis O’Brien, remains unsurpassed for horror and heartbreak. Fay Wray plays the “beauty” to Kong’s “beast.” DCP. 104 min.

CWRU I.D. holders $9. Presented as part of the 2024 Cleveland Humanities Festival (theme: Awe), coordinated by the Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities at Case Western Reserve University. Visit chf.case.edu for a complete list of festival programs.
