Made before his final finished feature Enter the Dragon (a U.S. co-production) but released in America (as Return of the Dragon) after it, Bruce Lee’s third martial arts film is the only completed movie he wrote and directed. Supplementing its action with lots of comedy, the movie tells of a skilled Chinese kung fu fighter who goes to Rome to defend his cousin’s restaurant against some local thugs. The unforgettable climax finds Lee taking on Chuck Norris in a gladiatorial death match inside the Colosseum. Subtitles. Scope DCP. 99 min.
