AMERICAN PSYCHO

Canada, United States | 2000 | Mary Harron

AMERICAN PSYCHO film still

During his 50+ year career, Ed Pressman produced some of the most interesting and acclaimed movies of our time, including early works by then little-known filmmakers like Terrence Malick, Brian De Palma, Oliver Stone, Charles Burnett, and Kathryn Bigelow. American Psycho, one of Pressman’s most challenging and enduring projects, stars Christian Bale, Willem Dafoe, Jared Leto, Chloë Sevigny, Reese Witherspoon, et al. in a polarizing adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’ satirical novel, about a fabulously successful young investment banker in 1980s NYC who is also a coldhearted serial killer. Music by John Cale. Adults only! DCP. 101 min.

General admission $11; members, CIA & CSU I.D.holders, and those age 25 & under $8.

Masks are currently optional for moviegoers, but still encouraged. Learn more under the “Face Coverings” section at cia.edu/covid.

As a reminder, filmgoers can park for free in Lot 73 and in the Institute's annex lot, and should enter CIA via nearby Entrance C. Click here for a map.
