This screening is SOLD OUT! Northeast Ohio’s Emmy-winning veteran TV comedy writer Dan O’Shannon (Modern Family, Newhart, Cheers, Frasier) takes baby boomers on a hop, skip, and jump down memory lane with his new overview of Cleveland’s children’s television from the 1950s to the 1970s. All the greats are here—from Gene Carroll and Romper Room’s Miss Barbara to Barnaby, Captain Penny, and Superhost, among others. Rare and evocative film and audio clips supplement the funny, irreverent, informative on-screen commentary by O’Shannon and TV historian Mike Olszewski (whose 2019 book From Captain Penny to Superhost inspired the movie). With Don Novello. Dan O’Shannon will answer audience questions after the screening. World premiere. DCP. 65 min.

Special admission $13; members, CIA & CSU I.D. holders, and those age 25 & under $10. No passes.

Thanks to Bill Garvey, Greater Cleveland Film Commission.
