David Lynch’s follow-up to Blue Velvet stars Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern as young lovers on the run from her distraught mother (Diane Ladd), who hires both a private eye and a thug to find and stop them. Winner of the top prize at the 1990 Cannes Film Festival, this outré, sexy, violent road movie contains references to both Elvis and The Wizard of Oz. But it takes place in a grotesque, Lynchian realm way, way over the rainbow! Willem Dafoe, Crispin Glover, Isabella Rossellini, and Harry Dean Stanton co-star. Adults only! 35mm. 125 min.
Special admission $13; members, CIA & CSU I.D. holders, and those age 25 & under $10. No passes.
