Jean-Paul Belmondo and Anna Karina star in this essential masterpiece by the late Jean-Luc Godard. An unhappy married man flees to the south of France with his daughter’s babysitter, an old girlfriend of his now wanted by mobsters. Stunningly shot in color and scope by Raoul Coutard, this freewheeling classic teems with leftwing politics, stylized violence, and doomed romance. With Samuel Fuller. Subtitles. DCP. 110 min.
