This film noir by the Oscar-winning American director best known for his romantic melodramas like 7th Heaven and 1932’s A Farewell to Arms focuses on the despised, oft-tormented son of an executed murderer who, one day, is driven to violence himself. “Perhaps Borzage’s greatest film.” –Time Out Film Guide. Restored DCP. 90 min.
