Spike Lee’s rousing and stylish masterpiece is set in and around an Italian-American pizza shop in multicultural Brooklyn, NY. Racial tensions simmer and eventually boil over on one of the hottest days of summer. The great cast includes Danny Aiello, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Richard Edson, Giancarlo Esposito, Samuel L. Jackson, Rosie Perez, John Turturro, and Lee himself. DCP. 120 min.
