EPICENTRO film still

The “cheery” (Hollywood Reporter) new film by the Oscar nominated director of Darwin’s Nightmare won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. It’s a wide-ranging salute to the indomitable spirit of the Cuban people (particularly children), who have endured decades of Spanish and American interventionism and imperialism, economic deprivation, and cinematic propaganda. Cleveland premiere. Subtitles. 108 min.
