The Sundance Film Festival's Short Film Program has long been one of the world’s premier showcases for miniature movies, as well as the career launch pad for many now-prominent indie filmmakers. (Alums include Paul Thomas Anderson, Wes Anderson, Andrea Arnold, Damien Chazelle, Debra Granik, Todd Haynes, Spike Jonze, Dee Rees, and Taika Waititi, among others.)
