Larry Cohen, who died in March, was a longtime producer, writer, and director of B movies, mostly horror and sci-fi. It’s Alive!, his biggest success, tells of a murderous mutant baby. It boasts a Bernard Herrmann score and makeup and effects by Rick Baker and was followed by two sequels. Blu-ray. 91 min.
