Cinematheque . Film Schedule . Hannah Arendt
France, Germany | 2012 | Margarethe von Trotta
The new film from the director of the 2009 Hildegard von Bingen drama Vision is another biopic--this time about the German-Jewish philosopher and political theorist who coined the term "the banality of evil" and made lots of enemies with her nuanced coverage of the notorious 1961 trial of ex-Nazi Adolf Eichmann. Barbara Sukowa stars.
