While looking at colleges, Emma Rogowski happily considered pursuing her creative studies at the Cleveland Institute of Art but admits she had concerns. However, those worries were quickly erased. “When touring the school, the advisors and students were all very helpful,” she says. “CIA has such a strong reputation, I was worried it would be too professional and intimidating—but there is still a strong feeling of community and a welcoming aura.”

The Streetsboro, Ohio native now enjoys learning to be a creative problem-solver as a first-year student planning to major in Graphic Design. And as fall semester has unfolded, that sense of community has grown for her. “I’m really enjoying meeting like-minded people and working with teachers who genuinely care about our growth as individuals and artists,” she says. “These are both things I haven't experienced before.”
