Thomas is the Chair of and Associate Professor in the Biomedical Art Department at CIA as well as Adjunct Professor in Anatomy at Case Western Reserve University. He is the founder and principal illustrator of Novie Studio, which produces accurate and aesthetically clear illustrations and 2D animations for print and digital publication as well as exhibit design for litigation. Thomas received his MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Medical Illustration and is a Board Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI).

Beth received her BFA and MFA in Medical Illustration from the Cleveland Institute of Art, where she was its first graduate student. As a medical illustrator for over 15 years, she is currently employed by the Cleveland Clinic as a staff medical illustrator.
