Academics . Engaged Practice . Extended classroom
CIA is an anchor in Cleveland's University Circle, extending our campus to one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods in the U.S. Positioned among world-class colleges/universities, museums, galleries, parks and gardens, hospitals and research institutions, and major partners in industry, our faculty incorporate these resources into classroom projects, field trips, and internship opportunities.
On any given day, CIA students may be observing and illustrating surgery at University Hospitals, sketching in the Glasshouse at Cleveland Botanical Garden, collaborating on gaming projects with engineering students at Case Western Reserve University, conducting research at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, or analyzing original works of art at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
