Annmarie Suglio was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, earning her Bachelor in Fine Arts degrees in Fiber + Material Studies and Sculpture in 2015. Annmarie has shown work at Zygote Press Inc. in Cleveland, Forum Artspace at the 78th Street Studios in Cleveland, and at the Reinberger Gallery at Cleveland Institute of Art. Over the past years, Annmarie has worked in museums and organizations such as Transformer Station, FRONT International, MOCA Cleveland, and Praxis Fiber Workshop, where she currently remains as gallery director and teaches workshops. In the summer, she organizes a series of shows inside and outside a 100-year-old Cleveland Heights Italian-Colonial home called the sunroom. It is a space for artists to explore and experiment art-making for a domestic space. Outside of work, Annmarie is either in her studio weaving cloth on a floor loom, walking her Catahoula Leopard dog, or out at the many art events and gallery openings Cleveland has to offer!
