Writing + Learning Center

The Writing + Learning Center offers students support with writing and research projects, helping to refine skills and improve time management and study skills.

Students working with tutors in our Writing + Learning Center

The center provides:

  • Tutoring for students who want support with any part of the writing or research process
  • Instructional support for degree program courses involving writing and research
  • Guidance to students on topics broadly related to success in academic life, such as time management and study skills

Students can drop by Room 103 during open hours or make an online appointment to work with tutors. See my.cia.edu/writingcenter for current hours. 

The center is staffed by trained peer tutors, students chosen for their accomplishments in academic work, their writing skills, and their collaborative skills. The staff is overseen by Alyssa Perry, Writing + Learning Center Coordinator and Assistant Professor in Liberal Arts department.
