What you'll see
View and celebrate the latest in automotive, product, interior, toy, and graphic design. CIA students exhibit their work throughout the Frank Gehry-designed Peter B. Lewis building, home of Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. This rippling steel and brick building is located just east of CIA's Gund building.
Student interviews
A strong work ethic, broad knowledge of design, and refined communication skills are characteristics that make a great designer. CIA’s design programs reinforce these things and provide a team-oriented atmosphere that enables our students and graduates to step into the professional world and contribute immediately.
We hope that you are able to attend the 2012 Spring Design Show to see the work for yourself and interview for internships and permanent positions. If you'd like to schedule student interviews, please contact Amy Goldman, Director, CIA Career Center.

A 2003 graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, Adam Carmichael works to blur the lines between interior architecture and visual merchandising. He believes that store design is the ultimate in brand experience as it spans the senses—sight, touch, sound and, sometimes, even taste and smell. In recognition of his talent and vision in retail design, the Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) presented Carmichael with its 2011 Rising Star Award last December.
