ID Students Present Ideas to NASA

Students network with high-profile auto industry representatives.

The Cleveland Institute of Art was invited to participate in an automotive industry workshop at NASA, where students from local colleges presented design concepts to high-level technical industry representatives from the major auto manufacturers and suppliers.

CIA industrial design students Aaron Riggs ’12, Brandon Promersberger ’12, Chris Mikalaukus ’13 and Ben Wilkins ’13 each showcased their extreme vehicle designs that pushed the boundaries of engineering and design. Riggs presented his design from a summer internship he had at Lexus, Promersberger designed a GM vehicle for Russia, Mikalaukus designed a Pacific rim hybrid autonomous/mass transit vehicle, and Wilkins designed an eco-tourism vehicle for Africa.
