The core of The Cleveland Institute of Art's fundraising effort is the Annual Fund, which seeks ongoing support from loyal alumni and friends, corporations and foundations, and government sources to ensure the school's sound financial health. Gifts to the Annual Fund are a crucial component of the Institute's funding mix, helping to bridge the gap between tuition revenue, investment income and operating expenses. By garnering support for unrestricted purposes, annual scholarships and enhanced departmental operations, contributions to the Annual Fund establish the foundation from which the Institute fulfills its mission and advances toward its vision. The percentage of alumni giving to the Institute's Annual Fund is ranked second in the country among colleges of art and design, sending a powerful message about the value our graduates place upon their years here. Each year thousands of loyal alumni and friends, corporations, foundations and government sources provide support to The Cleveland Institute of Art's Annual Fund, contributing over $1 million toward the Institute's annual operating budget.
