Library . Collage Display
10/13/11 | Posted by Library Staff | Posted in Library
If you haven't stopped in the library to see this week's artists' book display, you don't know what you're missing! The theme this week is Collage, and includes works by Dieter Roth and Tacita Dean, as well as many other artists. The result of adding collage elements to the text of the diary of a civil war soldier being held in a confederate prison in Two months: being the account of life as a prisoner of war is really amazing. They thought of money provides an interesting look into what our society values. Next week the display will be of artists' books that explore, highlight or challenge the act of reading. The books are on display Monday through Friday, from 10 to 4. Don't miss Lunch on Friday tomorrow, "Artists' Books: Two Perspectives," where our very own Cris Rom, Gund Library Director, will be one of the featured speakers!
