Spend a lunch hour learning about the latest in art and design during these Friday lectures. Each lecture features a variety of artists and designers from around the world, including CIA faculty and visiting artists. This event is free and open to the public. Pizza and beverages will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Will Brown, assistant curator at MOCA Cleveland, will present an overview of his recent curatorial work at a Lunch on Fridays talk April 13 at 12:15pm. His projects include Mei-Jia & Ting-Ting & Chih-Fu & Sin-Ji: C. Spencer Yeh (MOCA Cleveland); Acts of Speech (MOCA Cleveland); Monument Lab: Creative Speculations for Philadelphia (Mural Arts Program, Philadelphia); Raqs Media Collective: Myriad Marginalia (RISD Museum); Aslı Çavuoǧlu: In Diverse Estimations Little Moscow (RISD Museum); Raid the Database 1: with Natalja Kent (RISD Museum website); and Cinematic Moments, (Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art, San Francisco).

Brown earned an MA in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts and a BA in Psychology and Art History from Goucher College. He previously held curatorial positions at the Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Kadist Art Foundation, Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, Crown Point Press, Triple Base Gallery, and the Aspen Art Museum. He is also a founding curator and the former deputy director of Monument Lab, a public-art project in Philadelphia, and he organizes projects with Seth Stolbun at The Stolbun Collection in Chicago and Houston. His writing has appeared in publications including, Daily Serving, Hyperallergic, Studio International, Art Practical, and Gulf Coast Journal. His curatorial work includes exhibitions, screenings, events, and performances for the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, RISD Museum, Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, Penn Institute for Urban Research, Kadist Art Foundation, Oakland Museum of California, Aspen Art Museum, Alter Space Gallery, Triple Base Gallery, and The Luggage Store Gallery.
