Where Cleveland Institute of Art, Peter B. Lewis Theater
Spend a lunch hour learning about the latest in art and design during this lecture series. This special Lunch on Monday lecture is an extension of the Lunch on Fridays lecture series, which features a variety of artists and designers from around the world, including CIA faculty and visiting artists. This event is free and open to the public. Pizza and beverages will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
In 2015 Postmasters Gallery Director Paulina Bebecka co-founded the organization +ArtApp. +ArtApp is dedicated to researching, incubating and supporting the nascent App Art movement and arts-centered apps worldwide. Since its launch, +ArtApp has been petitioning Apple’s App Store to add an Art category. It has galvanized the support of artists and technologists around the world, received over 13,000 individual endorsements and the support of the Andy Warhol Museum, Phillips, Kickstarter, DeviantArt, Eyebeam, NEW INC, ArtStack, ZKM, Generate, Artspace, Vango, Electric Objects and many more artists and art organizations.

Paulina Bebecka, (b. 1983, Warsaw, Poland) is a New York City based independent curator, director of Postmasters Gallery, and co-founder of +ArtApp. She holds an MA from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London, a BA in International Economics, and also a BA in International Business Administration from the American University of Paris. During her 10 years within the NYC art world, she held a variety positions. She was Curator of Art Programing at the Polish Cultural Institute New York from 2011 to 2015. She managed over 40 contemporary art projects with various institutions, including MoMA, The New Museum, Performa, ICP, Times Square Alliance, CUNY Segal Theatre, Socrates Sculpture Park, MoMA PS1, AICA, Public Art Fund, NYC Dept of Parks and Recreation. During her eight years at Postmasters Gallery - a New York City contemporary art gallery with a long history of showing new media art and nurturing new forms of creative expression - she oversaw all and curated more than 80 contemporary art exhibitions and projects.
The recent exhibition this one is smaller than this one was first shown at Postmasters in New York before traveling to Galerist in Istanbul, Turkey in May 2016 and to Vienna in September 2016.
Her projects have been reviewed by publications including The New York Times, Modern Painters, ArtInfo, artnet, Vice, and the Huffington Post.
