BRUNO CASIANO GALLERY Presents Lucky Charms a solo show by Charles Kiss opening reception will be on May 13th from 6 pm to 10 pm and will be showing until June 10th at 5304 Detroit Ave located in the Gordon Square Arts District. The gallery is known for its distinctive look once known as a speakeasy and one of the oldest buildings in the area. With its new look, the gallery’s fresh store front windows show off the artists great works of art
Lucky Charms

Charles Kiss an Ohio native grew up in Ashtabula and is very excited to be showing his newest work of art at the Bruno Casiano Gallery. Kiss repeats groups of pictographs, or ideograms, to extract meaning from their aesthetic beauty as they interface our complex world, and history, with fundamental symbolic components. This, with the process of using certain painting techniques to exemplify other arbitrary sets of meaning leads him to new understandings and conceptions of the human experience that he would like to share. Kiss shares the thoughts of Jung in his work:

There is a thinking in primordial images, in symbols which are older
than the historical man, which are inborn in him from the earliest times,
eternally living,outlasting all generations, still make up the groundwork
of the human psyche. It is only possible to live the fullest life when we are
in harmony with these symbols; wisdom is a return to them.
