Come to St. John’s Episcopal Church this Saturday, April 30, from 6 to 10pm for Station Hope, a multifaceted arts event that honors Cleveland’s history and celebrates hope. As part of the lineup, students from CIA’s course Performance and Theatre: Ensemble Creation will present Refracting Dialogue, an art installation with performance features. The piece, created in partnership with Cleveland Public Theatre, explores the personal, the magic and the ephemeral, and reflects on our deep desire to collaborate.

The performance is free and open to all. St. John’s Episcopal Church, 2600 Church Ave, Cleveland, OH.

Director Faye Hargate of Cleveland Public Theatre and Sarah Paul, co-chair of CIA’s Sculpture + Expanded Media department, team-taught the class. Creators include Benjamin Eberle, Amanda Howell, Alison Klein, Nathan Manthey, Changyeob Ok, Sonja Plungis, Jared Sobotka, Laura Yurko and E. Rake. The Ensemble Creation course is one of CIA’s Engaged Practice classes, one of the many ways the college encourages students to learn in partnership with people and experiences beyond the classroom.
